AHHHHHH!!!

Wedding frustration.
I hate planning. Why can't it just spontaneously happen with nobody getting offended or giving me their two sense of how they think it should be.

Because in addition to the two becoming one, two families are coming together to love on and show support for those two that they love so much.

Oh, and it's not "two sense" it's two cents, though your malaprop may be more appropriate at times.

Don't worry, in about 210 days you'll already be Mrs. Melody Haege and these details aren't going to feel nearly as important. I promise you this with 100% certainty.

We'll keep praying though...ok?

Here's what I started to do...

You like invitations? get them. don't seek council...it's your wedding...

You like a certain venue? go look at it...take Michael with you...there's no need to drag the entire wedding party out there with you when all you're doing is getting ideas...

You wanna think about catering prices? go talk to the caterers yourself...don't bring anyone else with you to influence you...

trust me...there are certain things that you neeeed to do by yourself...it's just up to you to decide which things those are.

Happy planning, you'll be in my prayers!

Umm... the ONE thing that will drive you the CRAZIEST is everyone ELSE! All the dang PEOPLE!

Everyone thinks they have the best advice, and the most experience, and more expertise than everyone else. Smile politely, nod, then turn around and do whatever YOU were planning to do in the first place.

The biggest stresser in my wedding planning, aside from spending oodles of money, wa my family - but as I look back, I wished that I Had just said "I'll take that into consideration" and done things MY way. Becuase a lot of it got tainted with other people. It wasn't as "US" as I had always wanted it to be.

So make it YOU. You and Michael. Dont' ask advice until you have widdled whatever it is down to such a small number and you absolutely, along with your boo, cannot decide. Otherwise, once you ask someone for their advice ONCE, they give it CONSTANTLY!

I'm sorry, darlin. I promise you'll make it through this with most of your hair. There are two of you who's opinion matter. Just stick to you and him. You can't go wrong with that. ;-)

I don't think I've ever seen dangnabbit spelled out before. That was a first.
